'Rose, Blue Moon' (1970) by American photographer Irving Penn.
Came across this beautiful rose earlier today on Instagram, was deeply drawn to it. The soft, gentle pinkness of the rose was beautifully captured, yet there's certain sadness and fragility to it if you noticed the drying petals in the middle. Life is fragile, live to your fullest while it is blooming.
Penn spent several summers photographer flowers as part of an assignment for Vogue, devoting to one particular flower each year. How incredible it is!
