Earlier on last month, we had the pleasure talking to Roxy, founder of Salt + Glow, and try out their products. Since then, we're totally obsessed (especially their So Loved Body Polish!). I'm so lucky I've bought a bottle of it with me to London, with the dry weather over here, my skin has been craving for some nourishment and it has left me nothing but smooth skin with a hint of coconut notes after shower. How did it all started with Salt and Glow? What was the catalyst that sparked your interest to start?
Using the bathtub is a rare but rewarding occasion in my household. So upon receiving a gift to enjoy in the bath, there was no excuse but to get that tap turned on!

As I was soaking in the bathtub with my gift, a thought dropped to me - we all need alone time to simply relax. We work tirelessly and cater to our family and friends more than we care about ourselves. Taking time out consciously for ourselves, can bring our best selves into everyday life! That was when I decided to come up with a range of products that would encourage people to take time out to pamper and nourish themselves right in the comfort of their bathrooms.

What do you think is the one key thing that's special about Salt and Glow that sets apart from other skincare brands?
Aside from our products being skin-loving and handmade with natural ingredients only, our products sends out a deeper message that you are brave, valued and so loved! This message is alluded through the product names, the way we cover each and every product with love in the production and the stories we share on social media. What do you think would be the next big trend/product in the health/fitness sector?
Natural deodorants. People are quickly realising that sweating is one of the body’s natural mechanism to expel toxins. Toxins that have entered the body through the chemicals in the environment and also through certain products we use or consume. However, commercial antiperspirants are made to block this natural mechanism, thereby the toxins remain in our bodies and the bad odours are merely masked. This makes sweating - a good thing.

Natural deodorants, such as our Fearless deodorant paste encourages sweating. The bad odours are neutralised by the sodium bicarbonate, kaolin clay and arrowroot powder. Our blend of essential oils contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. The shea butter, coconut oil, Kakadu plum extract and Vitamin E helps to nourish the underarm, after all, it is still skin under there!
